Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features on the REESE Goose Box fifth wheel to gooseneck conversion. This gooseneck hitch is going to replace your kingpin on your fifth wheel trailer, converting it into a gooseneck connection. Some of the greatest benefits about switching to a product like this, as you can see in our bed, we've got virtually nothing in there that comes from the gooseneck style attachment. Now your truck's gonna have to have a gooseneck connection in order to use this, probably the number one thing that we have issues with when converting from a kingpin to a fifth wheel, or from a kingpin into a gooseneck in the bed of a short or regular sized bed truck. Now, when you're getting into towing, it's always a hard decision to decide whether or not you want a Gooseneck or a fifth wheel rail kit to be installed in the bed of your truck. Well, this kit is gonna allow you to do both. You can get a really strong Gooseneck hitch, which is the BMW hitch, and then you can get this adapter that has the BMW square shank that slides right down in the place of your Gooseneck ball. This is gonna connect to the gooseneck ball in your truck, and it will then mount to the king pin in your fifth wheel trailer that will allow you to tow your fifth wheel with your gooseneck ball. The main benefit to this system is that it's extremely lightweight. It only weighs about 70 pounds, so I can lift it myself. Maybe not everyone will be able to do that, but definitely much lighter than your traditional fifth wheel hitches. more

Now, the installation will be relatively simple, but I do want to let you know that this pin box is heavy so you're definitely going to want at least a second set of hands to help you lower your original pin box and put this new one up in its place. Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Bulldog Round Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Coupler Adapter. Now, this round king pin adapter is going to give you the ability to pull your gooseneck trailer with your 5th wheel hitch. You're going to simply replace both the inner and outer tubes of the gooseneck with this unique coupler, and then you're going to be ready to tow. It's going to fit the same as a gooseneck coupler with the inner and outer tubes. Now, a sturdy load-bearing pin, as you can see here, is included along with these two set bolts, and this is of a durable steel construction with a raw finish that's going to be ready for welding. So this is adjustable to fit your specific application, and the retracted height from the top of our plate to the top of our tube, we're sitting right at about 23 1/3 inches, and then the extended height, again, from the top of our plate to the top of our tube when this is fully extended is sitting right at about 31 1/3 inches, so you're going to have a range of adjustability of eight inches. more

This right here is the Blue Ox BXR2100 gooseneck-mounted fifth wheel. Between the base, utilizing the gooseneck ball and the head being able to come apart, that's pretty cool. It being really lightweight is really clutch, if you are just struggling getting in and out, or just wanna work a little smarter, not harder. I think it's gonna be a pretty good option for you. Especially with the top, it's just gonna prevent those false hookups and those trailer drops. Unlike some of the other fifth wheel kits on our site that uses the hole that your gooseneck ball goes in, this one utilizes the ball to do that. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at the shock absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck pin box by Gen-Y Hitch. This is gonna be for those of you who already have a Gooseneck ball in your truck most of your trailers are Gooseneck trailers but you have that one trailer that's a 5th wheel, whether it's a new camper or what have you. And so this is going to be an option for towing that 5th Wheel trailer with your Gooseneck ball. Now, there are really three options that you have to try and tow that 5th Wheel trailer with a Gooseneck ball. The first option is a 5th Wheel hitch that fits onto your Gooseneck ball sits inside your truck bed, that's gonna be a really steady, secure connection for you, the main problem with it is that those 5th Wheel hitches are very heavy and if you are gonna be switching back and forth between your Gooseneck and your 5th Wheel trailer you're gonna have to lift that hitch up set it somewhere, store it then lift it back in place and get it installed, if you want to use your 5th Wheel again, so very heavy cumbersome, so probably not the most ideal option, if you are switching back and forth. more

Now the Companion 5th wheel for flatbeds is really gonna give you the best of both worlds in towing. You'll have your gooseneck that's already installed, you want to be sure you have a B&W underbed gooseneck mount hitch installed, and then this is just gonna be something you can fit in and get it torqued down with just a single bolt. So it really makes it quick and easy to switch between a 5th wheel if you need it, go back to your gooseneck. So, there's going to be a few different reasons you may find yourself in need for this adapter here. So, not everyone wants to use the B&W Companion. And if you're not sure what the B&W Companion is, that is the 5th wheel hitch that B&W offers that drops directly into the gooseneck hitch. So, that's a great hitch, but it is expensive and it's pretty heavy. So, if you have another 5th wheel hitch in mind that you want to use, or probably more commonly, you'll be taking one from a previous truck, and reusing it on your new truck, you're going to be able to utilize that hitch with this adapter here. more

So this is gonna be for those of you who have a fifth wheel trailer that you're wanting to haul with your deuce neck ball in your truck bed. So there's basically three different options that will allow you to hook up your fifth wheel trailer to that gooseneck ball. The first one is getting a fifth wheel hitch that fits onto that gooseneck ball. So then your kingpin attaches just like any other fifth wheel hitch would and it's going to be nice and secure for you. more

Now, a lot of times customers ask for products like this basically because maybe all through the week you're having a goose neck utility trailer for work, but then on the weekend you've got a fifth wheel camper you like to head out with.Maybe you've got a goose neck horse trailer and a fifth wheel camper and you want to be able to haul them both without going through the entire process of removing your fifth wheel and then placing in some kind of x plate adaptor or something along those lines. This is going to allow yo to switch your goose neck coupler out.Now, this has been designed to work and slide into most of your four inch round style goose neck couplers. Today we're gonna take a look at the ranch hitch universal 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck straight coupler adapter. This heavy duty adapter will convert your 5th-wheel trailer kingpin to a gooseneck coupler, so it conveniently allows your 5th-wheel camping trailer to be towed with a gooseneck hitch. The adapter here will bolt to your kingpin on your 5th-wheel pin box, and it attaches to the gooseneck cup for in your truck.This part will include everything we've got laid out here on the table. The straight adapter with the remote cable latch and bracket attached; the threaded collar assembly, right up here at the top you can see, here's the threaded collar; and then you'll notice there's two split collar halves that'll go in there, this is what'll go around your kingpin on your pin box; it comes with a spanner wrench that is used to tighten this up to your threaded on and tighten it up to your pin box; and all the mounting hardware you need to install it, and a nice installation manual that'll describe how to install everything and how everything operates.The remote coupler release right here, this is what'll let you engage and release the coupler while standing alongside your truck, so it eliminates having to climb in and out of your truck bed to release it. Basically, there's a pin right in here, so when you pull this handle open, that pin'll slide across, allow it to drop you onto the gooseneck ball. This will decrease both your vertical shock, which is the bounce up and down, and the longitudinal shock which is your chucking back and forth.This does limit the strain on your truck and trailer frames, the airbag on the inside can be adjusted to give you just the right amount of support. Right here, this opening, this is your air inflation indicator, and when this shows all black like it is now, that means it has low air pressure.Now, you put your air in your airbag right back here where the air valve is. more
